This was a special trip in that people who had never been to Africa were traveling with us. We wanted something wonderful for them, and you did not disappoint. From beginning to end, everything was covered with care and class. The camps, our guide, attention at the airports: everything was perfect.
Karen went way beyond the call of duty to get our daughter back on track with us after her international flight was suddenly canceled. The team was awesome and arranged a safari that took care of each one of us—parents, two adult daughters, and a teenage son. Each of us felt so well taken care of and will carry the most amazing memories from this truly awesome wildlife reserve.
One jaw-dropping moment after another: stunning sunsets and sunrises over vast, unspoiled scenic vistas, incredibly intimate wildlife encounters, experienced with a small group under the capable leadership of our remarkable safari guide. An absolutely thrilling adventure.
Rwanda is a beautiful country that has recovered from genocide and its people united as Rwandans. Kigali is modern, clean and well organized. The people are so welcoming and eager to express their pride in their country, and the parks are such a pleasure to explore.
I just wanted to thank you for making all of the arrangements and suggestions for our trip to Africa. I hope we can go back again as this was the best trip we have ever taken! We were able to see and photograph all of the big five including two with babies, and the camps and guides were excellent.
Waking up and looking out our tent in Damaraland, Namibia was stunning. The sun seemed to rise very slowly. Every inch that it rose it seemed to change the color of the landscape. I took photos continuously and got drastically different colors. The entire landscape shifted from deep pinks to blazing red and oranges. Absolutely breathtaking.
Karen is very knowledgeable and provided me with detailed answers to my many questions and concerns as a solo traveler. She was influential in my decision-making. Besides the amazing wildlife sightings and the knowledgeable guides who made sense of everything we saw, I was so impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the camp staff… I found that although I was travelling alone, I never felt alone.
We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our trip to Tanzania. Especially our guide Nuru. He was awesome! His knowledge base on everything from plants to wildlife was exceptional. My wife is a photographer and Nuru tuned into that right away and constantly worked to get her close to the wildlife and with the best sun angle, etc. As a bonus he was very personable and we enjoyed every minute with him.
This was an incredible trip. The guides, staff, lodgings – all incredible. Animals walking through the lodges. Activities suited to everyone. If you want something special, just ask, it will happen. You’ll be sorry to leave each camp – I have no idea how this could have been better!
The nature of Tanzania and the openness of its people made this one of our best vacations ever. We especially loved the luxury camping in the Serengeti!
No matter the research, good planning and preparation, the trip surpassed our wildest imagination and was truly the stuff of dreams. We thought the experiences we shared were only found in books and movies.
