If African conservation had a relationship status, it would probably be: “It’s complicated.” At PATH+PLAIN, we’re not here to offer flowery feel-good language or claim that every travel dollar singlehandedly saves rhinos or transforms communities. But we are here to guide you so that you can be confident that your travel impact is a genuine net positive for the people, wildlife, and wild places that make Africa extraordinary.

We spend time discussing and reviewing conservation projects and with our partners, and share those insights with you with one simple objective: to empower thoughtful choices when planning your next adventure.

Whether our partners are training anti-poaching teams, coming up with creative, sustainable ways to discourage elephants from raiding community crops, or using traveler fees to fund an annual dental and eyeglass clinic in Zimbabwe, there is much positive work being done… and much more to do.
