A land of grandeur and spirit.
Zimbabwe surprises and captivates — from the misty roar of Victoria Falls to the wildlife-rich plains of Hwange National Park. Here, elephants gather in truly extraordinary numbers, lions move through acacia woodlands, and the night sky stretches endless and unspoiled.
Zimbabwe’s stories of conservation and community are among Africa’s most compelling as well. Whether visiting school kids in local villages or the impressive Scorpion anti-poaching unit in Hwange you will come away with new perspectives on the complex fabric that is woven of wildlife conservation and community empowerment in Africa.
Zimbabwe’s lodges are refined yet genuine, with guiding among the best in Africa, ensuring that each encounter deepens your connection – not just to nature, but to the people who protect it.
“No matter the research, good planning, and preparation, the trip surpassed our wildest imagination and was truly the stuff of dreams. We thought the experiences we shared were only found in books and movies.”

Victoria Falls is one of the world’s great natural spectacles — a curtain of water plunging into a narrow gorge with immense force. Mist rises into the air, nourishing rainforest that thrives along the riverbanks. Whether viewed on foot, from the air, or by boat at sunset, the falls inspire awe. Beyond the cascade itself, the Zambezi offers moments of calm, reflection, and adventure, making this a fitting finale or gateway to safaris in Botswana or Zimbabwe.
Hwange National Park is known for its vast herds of elephant and varied wildlife supported by a network of waterholes. Open plains and teak forests create a classic safari setting, while expert guiding brings depth to each encounter. For photographers, underground hides offer that coveted low-angle perspective. Within the park, game drives stay on established tracks, but experienced guides will get you out of the vehicle to gain close vantage points on foot. Private concessions areas adjacent to the park allow for off-road and night drives. A wonderful choice for family safaris, the conservation story in Hwange is an education in wildlife management, from the history of its elephants and the surrounding communities, to the current rhino reintroduction project.
Another UNESCO World Heritage site, Mana Pools is a place of quiet magic, where the Zambezi River shapes both landscape and experience. Only accessible during the dry season, like Brigadoon, Mana Pools reappears annually for a few months, drawing in wildlife from far and wide. Known for its walking safaris, the park offers rare freedom to explore on foot, by 4×4, or by boat or canoe. Unique Mana Pools sightings include elephants standing on hind legs to feed on the seedpods of Ana trees, while plains animals move calmly through open floodplains.
